Liner needles are used specifically for line work, that is, to create floor plans or to delineate different designs. They taper to a point at the front and are guided perpendicular to the skin during tattooing.
In Round Shader Tattoo Needles, the needles are grouped into round bundles and then soldered together from the top end.
The needles run straight and a lot of ink can be absorbed in the gaps due to the capillary effect. These needles are used for filling and shading, running perpendicular to the skin. Round Shaders can be used with all colors, but are especially suitable for traditional pasty Tattoo Colors with coarse pigment.
Round Magnum tattoo needles have needles set back to the outside. Due to this design, the needle tip is not in a row like a normal magnum, but the front is slightly rounded. This causes no sharp edges when shading and makes the tattoo more uniform.
Magnum are spread flat needles. This means that the needles form two rows at the tip, an odd number in the bottom row and an even number in the top row. Magnum tattoo needles are mainly used for filling and shading and are held at an angle to the skin.
